Days 19-23

Oh my gosh, it's 2010!!  Yeah, that's NOT what he's thinking, but look how cute anyway, LOL.  Christmas at home was WONDERFUL.  We actually got FIVE whole days (part of a 6th thanks to the snow) to spend with our families.  Now don't fall off your chair, but Greg and I even got a DATE.  Yes, a real date.  Dinner AND a Movie!  whoooo hooo!

Fionn had opening presents figured out by the 3rd day, and broke into this one like an old pro.  He was so excited about all the tractors he got, my house runneth over with them.  

The girls even got THREE days together, starting with Christmas Eve.  They even all went to see the Princess and the Frog together.  Barbies abound when these three play together.  The movie had have been my favorite though, all their little heads in a row with their eyes wide as they watched. 

It started snowing Sunday night while Greg and I were out, and it just kept snowing...This was taken Monday night.  Sunday there was NO snow, it had just started when we left the house at 6:30pm.  Living here in the "Burgh" we forget what Lake Effect Snow is.  It kept snowing over night and by Tuesday Morning, we had to get on the road.  Our normal two hour (tops) drive took three and a half hours.  We made it, but wow.

So that was our Christmas.  It was beautiful and lovely, and all we could have hoped for.  We pray that yours was the same.  2010 is a big year for us, and we have lots to share with you.  Keep your eyes open for a few give aways here and there mixed in as well!!

In the spirit of Christmas, this is what we're baking today.  Maggie and I made these awesome recipe cards for some family and friends ( so if you get one of these cards act surprised) as her home-made gift this year.  She is so excited to hand them out this week.  If you like these cards, you can find them at The Shabby Shoppe. We love the Shabby Princess for our digital scrapbooking!

Do you all bake for Christmas, work on hand made presents?  We love it, and love giving gifts that mean something to us!  It's almost Christmas, and I'm way behind on my posts, so hopefully between now and the big day, you'll see an increase in posts!

Day 15 of 23

We have this beautiful Holly Tree in our backyard, and when the snow falls and hits it, it's absolutely beautiful.  We look out and see different birds in our tree all winter, and the red berries are a colorful contrast to the blah of winter.  We are counting down the days to Christmas and can't wait to share more of our Holidays with you.

One more of my new nephew, because that's what this time of year is all about.  And I'm partial.  But look at how cute and tiny!

Day 13 of 23

It's SNOWING, really snowing here in Pittsburgh.  I know we live in Pennsylvania, but here in the 'burgh we hardly ever get snow like this all in one day.  We will get a couple inches at a time, but there's hardly been enough snow the last two years to even go sled-riding.  We pulled out our measly saucer and let them play on an "incline"( I don't dare even call it a hill) in the backyard today for a little bit.  We even had to go get the monster boots first as I don't think his crocs were going to work, fur lined or not.

We were only out for a little bit, and even though he couldn't really stand in it, Fionn LOVED the snow.  This was his first time ever really playing in it and sissy was more than happy to help him when he couldn't get up!

What a perfect Saturday, we are now off to make Christmas cookies!

Day 12 of 23

We finally got to go see our new nephew on Monday as well, and or course my sister let me snap away!  This is handsome little James.  Three days old

Day 11 of 23

I'm sorry for the delay in getting new pictures up.  We had one busy weekend.  TWO babies in one weekend, and there were other babies born to other friends in other states as well!  My sister gave birth to my nephew on Friday, and Sunday night one of my oldest and dearest friends gave birth to this little beauty.  She gave the family quite a scare, but look for perfect she is!  Both mom and baby are still recovering, but both are healthy and happy.  We took a LONG road trip yesterday to make sure for ourselves that all was well.  ( I seriously have the best husband in the world, who humored me on his day off just so I could hold this sweet girl)  Welcome to the world Rylann Cecilia.  I don't know how our world was complete before you!

My newest nephew, James, born today to my sister.  Welcome to the world James, I so wish I could be there to kiss those sweet cheeks!  We can't wait to come meet you.
